Hey there, Whenever I see a "mailbox full" bounce in the logs, I've always pictured someone a lot like me. I'm the sort of person who has 40,000+ unread emails sitting in my inbox, so I always assumed a full mailbox meant someone had let things get even further out of hand than I have. But it turns out that's often not what's happening at all. Gmail doesn't have its own storage. Free Google accounts get 15GB, and that's shared between Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos. So if someone's phone has been backing up all their photos and videos for the last few years, that can fill the whole account on its own. Their inbox could be practically empty and Gmail will still start turning emails away. Most people don't notice until emails stop arriving... which means the first they hear about it might be when they get in touch to ask where their order confirmation went. Read the bounce guide If you see a mailbox full error in your email log, that's a soft bounce. The address is real, your setup is fine, and the problem is usually temporary. Most people clear some space within a day or two once they realize what's going on. So there's no need to go digging through your SMTP settings, and I wouldn't remove the customer from anything after one bounce either. Once they've made some room, you can resend the email straight from your log. If the same address is still bouncing a week later, it's probably worth getting in touch some other way.
